How can we offer more competitive prices than other stores?

Because there's no intermediary between us (the growers) and you (the customer). In addition, there are no storage costs and bulk shipping is less expensive than parcel delivery. We invest time and money in the quality of our fruit, while saving you money by cutting out the middleman.

Is the scheduled delivery date guaranteed?

It depends on how ripe the fruit is and the number of orders in your area. We try to estimate as accurately as possible. In case of delays or other changes, we'll keep you updated.

What happens if there aren't enough orders for the pickup location I chose?

We do our best to respect the delivery date we've offered. If that's not possible, we'll delay shipping for a few days until there are enough orders. We'll notify you if there are any delays in your area. If we still can't get the minimum number of orders to make a shipment, we'll have to cancel your order and refund your money.

Our organic farming certificates issued by the Valencian Community and the European Union guarantee that La Montesina meets the strictest regulations of this type of growing. Every year, our groves are inspected by the Organic Farming Committee of the Valencian Community (CAECV).

Why does the fruit in my crate come in different sizes?

It's simple: on every tree, fruit grows in different sizes. When packaging them directly in our groves, crates can contain fruit of different sizes. The largest are easy-to-peel, the smallest are ideal for making juice. Remember that we only pick fruit that's completely ripe.

How long can I store this fruit?

By storing your fruit in a cool and dry place (1-5°C), you can store an orange, grapefruit or lemon for about a month. Clementines can be stored for about two weeks. Temperatures above 5°C and humidity contribute to the quick decay of fruit. Temperatures below 0°C cause freezing.

Can you eat the peel in baked goods, for example?

Since the fruit has organic certification, we can guarantee that it doesn't contain residues of any kind, not in the pulp or the peel. You can make use of the entire fruit, even zesting the peel for jams or desserts.

Is it true that there are incompatibilities between grapefruit and some medications?

This is true! Grapefruit juice can interact dangerously with certain medications, i.e. those for controlling cholesterol levels, for cardiac deficiencies or in patients with hypertension. These incompatibilities are always indicated on the medicine pamphlet, so it's important to read it and replace grapefruit with an orange or a lemon if you can't eat grapefruit ☺☺
